Significant Federal Increase to Child Care Block Grants

The new federal budget has been signed. Thanks to child care and early learning advocates across the country and right here in Washington State, it contains the biggest funding increase for child care ever! The new funds for the Child Care Development Block Grant (CCDBG) will help more working families access high-quality child care and early learning programs during the crucial first years of life when 90 percent of brain development happens.
