Owning and operating a child care business can be rewarding and intimidating at the same time, and providers don’t always know where to turn for help. Child Care Aware of Washington is here for you! We offer critical professional and operational supports to assist providers in running a healthy business.

Operational Support for Child Care Providers

Child care providers experience many of the same challenges, such as collecting fees, maintaining enrollment, managing staff and payroll, handling administrative tasks, and communicating with families, just to name a few. You’re trying to run a successful business while also providing a nurturing, safe learning environment for children.

Child Care Aware of Washington can help you with essential business services and tools, such as developing a business plan, marketing, bookkeeping, human resources, expansion planning, and business management and enrollment software.

Coaching for Child Care Providers

Looking for someone who can provide tips and share their experience? Interested in learning how to improve the care you give, your business performance, or your interactions with parents? Relationship-based professional development coaches give you one-on-one support. Child Care Aware of Washington works with coaches throughout the state to help providers build skills and confidence.

Holding Hope IECMH Consultation

Holding Hope  is a unique program that partners Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) consultants with child care providers and Early Achievers coaches to promote the social emotional development and well-being of young children in care. Holding Hope is an indirect service focused on supporting adult caregivers of young children, rather than direct mental health therapy for children.

Providers, Directors and parents can reach out to our mental health consultants for support. Due to the high volume of requests, wait lists are at an all-time high. We will do our best to respond as quickly as possible.
